Alan F. Holmer served from 1996 to 2005 as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), an organization that represents the worldwide interests of leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, based in Washington, DC. From 2005 to 2007 and again from February 2009 until its acquisition by Merck in May 2011, Mr. Holmer served as director of Inspire Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and at various times as member of its Corporate Governance Committee, Audit Committee, and Drug Development Committee. In addition to his pharmaceutical industry experience, Mr. Holmer has significant expertise in handling legal, international trade and governmental issues, having held various positions within the office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the Commerce Department and the White House, including serving as Deputy U.S. Trade Representative with rank of Ambassador. Mr. Holmer served as Special Envoy for China and the Strategic Economic Dialogue, a position to which he was appointed by Secretary of the Treasury, Henry M. Paulson, Jr. from 2007 to 2009. Mr. Holmer also served as a partner at the international law firm, Sidley & Austin (now Sidley Austin LLP), and as an associate at Steptoe & Johnson LLP. Mr. Holmer has been involved in many community service organizations, including Former Chairman of the Board of the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (2009 to 2018). He also served as Co-Chairman of the President’s Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS. Mr. Holmer received an A.B. degree from Princeton University and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Yuval Cohen, Ph.D., joined Corbus as co-founder and Chief Executive Officer in 2014. Prior to joining Corbus, he was the President and co-founder of Celsus Therapeutics (Nasdaq: CLTX) from 2005 to June 2013. Dr. Cohen has a Ph.D., summa cum laude, from the Curie Institute of Cancer Research in Paris and the University of Paris V.

Dr. Altmeyer is currently the President and CEO of TigaTx, Inc. She previously served as the Chief Business Officer of Sigilon Therapeutics and Adicet Bio. Dr. Altmeyer also held roles of increasing responsibility in corporate development and program management over 15 years across large pharmaceutical organizations. Specifically, Dr. Altmeyer served as Vice President in Global Business Development at Baxalta and Vice President in Oncology Business Development and Companion Diagnostics at Novartis. Dr. Altmeyer began her industry career in program management roles at Merck & Company. She received her PhD from the University Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, France, and did her postdoctoral fellowships at New York University and Cornell University Medical College in New York City. She also has an MBA from Rutgers University and a Masters in Public Health from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, in New Jersey.

Dr. Ben has over 20 years of medical experience in academia and pharmaceutical and biotech companies, including clinical practice, drug discovery and development in oncology and hematological malignancies. He is currently a venture partner at Eight Roads Venture (formerly known as Fidelity Ventures). Prior to that he was Chief Medical Officer, Solid Tumors at BeiGene. Prior to BeiGene, Dr. Ben served as Chief Medical Officer at San Diego-based biotech company BioAtla . Previously, he was global clinical leader of immuno-oncology clinical development at AstraZeneca, leading the approval of durvalumab in urothelial cancer. Dr. Ben's career highlights also include his work on the approval of ixazomib in multiple myeloma at Millennium Pharmaceuticals and the approval of axitinib in renal cancer at Pfizer. He started his career as a surgical oncologist at Peking Union Medical College Hospital and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center. Dr. Ben received his medical degree from Norman Bethune College of Medicine and his MBA from the University of California, San Diego.

Ms. Jacques is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Akari Therapeutics, Plc (Nasdaq: AKTX) (“Akari”), a late-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on innovative therapeutics to treat orphan autoimmune and inflammatory diseases where complement (C5) and/or leukotriene systems (LBT4) are implicated, and also serves on their board of directors. Previously, Ms. Jacques served as the Chief Executive Officer of Enzyvant Therapeutics, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Co., Ltd. (TSE: 4506), focused on developing therapies for patients with rare diseases, from February 2019 to March 2022. Previously, beginning in 2017, she served as the Senior Vice President and Global Complement Franchise Head at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALXN), where she was responsible for commercialization strategy and execution. From 2016 to 2017, Ms. Jacques was Vice President of U.S Hematology Marketing at Shire plc, which acquired Baxalta Inc. (“Baxalta”) in 2016. Prior to this role, from 2015 to 2016, Ms. Jacques served as Vice President of Business Operations at Baxalta after its spinoff from Baxter International Inc. (NYSE: BAX) in 2015. From 2013 to 2015, Ms. Jacques served in leadership positions, including Vice President of Finance, US BioScience Business, at Baxter. Prior to joining Baxter, Ms. Jacques served in various roles of increasing responsibility at Dow Corning Corporation, including U.S. and international operational management roles, from 1995 to 2013. Ms. Jacques received her B.A. degree in business administration from Alma College.

Dr. Jenkins served as the Director of the Office of New Drugs (OND) at U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) from 2002 to 2017, where he was responsible for more than 1,000 agency employees and 19 product review divisions. During that time, he oversaw the review of thousands of new drug applications and biological licensing applications, as well as the approval of more than 400 new molecular entities. Dr. Jenkins also served as a member of the CDER Senior Leadership Team and was involved in broad policy initiatives, including negotiation and implementation of the Prescription Drug User Fee and biosimilar programs.

Dr. Jenkins began his FDA career in 1992 as a medical officer in the Division of Oncology and Pulmonary Drug Products. He subsequently served as Pulmonary Medical Group Leader and Acting Division Director before being appointed as Director of the Division of Pulmonary Drug Products in 1995. He became the Director of the Office of Drug Evaluation II in 1999 and remained in that position until he was appointed Director of OND in 2002. Following his retirement from FDA after over 25 years of Federal service in January 2017, Dr. Jenkins joined Greenleaf Health, an FDA-focused, strategic consulting firm where he serves as Principal, Drug and Biological Products.

Dr. Jenkins is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis and completed his post-graduate medical training in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases, and critical care medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Prior to joining FDA, Dr. Jenkins served as an Assistant Professor of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at VCU/MCV and as a Staff Physician at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Salzmann has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Immunovant, Inc. (NASDAQ: IMVT), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on enabling normal lives for patients with autoimmune diseases, since June 2019, and as a member of its board of directors since October 2019. Previously, from November 2018 to June 2019, he served as Global Brand Development Leader in Immunology at Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY), where he designed and executed a comprehensive indication development strategy and oversaw Phase 2 and 3 clinical trial execution. From March 2013 to October 2018, Dr. Salzmann was Head of U.S. Immunology at Eli Lilly, and Managing Director of Lilly Alps from January 2011 to April 2013. From January 2008 to December 2010, Dr. Salzmann was the Head of Marketing for Eli Lilly China. Dr. Salzmann earned a B.A. in Chemistry from Northwestern University, an M.D. from University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

Winston Kung currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Arrivent BioPharma, a clinical-stage company dedicated to accelerating the global development of innovative biopharmaceutical therapeutics. Prior to Arrivent, Mr. Kung was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at PMV Pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining PMV Pharma, Mr. Kung was Vice President of Business Development and Global Alliances at Celgene, and previously held the position of Chief Business Officer at Celgene Cellular Therapeutics. Before his role at Celgene, Mr. Kung held senior positions at Citigroup’s Global Healthcare Investment Banking group and at Lehman Brothers’ Global Mergers and Acquisition group. Mr. Kung also led multiple transactions as part of Genentech’s and Amgen’s Business and Corporate Development groups. Mr. Kung earned his M.B.A from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Biology and International Relations from Brown University.

Dr. Smethurst, MA MRCP, joined Corbus as our Chief Medical Officer in February 2024.  He has over twenty years of experience working with various pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, clinical research institutions, and the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). He most recently served as CMO of Bicycle Therapeutics, where he helped advance Nectin-4 investigational drugs through early stage and into late-stage development.  Previously, Dr. Smethurst worked as a consultant advising biopharma companies, providing guidance on clinical development strategies and licensing projects. Prior to that, he served as CMO of Tusk Therapeutics, an immuno-oncology company acquired by Roche, where he oversaw development of antibodies targeting CD25 and CD137, among others. Previously, as Vice President Oncology and Global Therapeutic Area Lead at Icon, a global contract research organization, he executed clinical trials involving numerous novel cancer treatments, including CAR-T therapies. Prior to that, Dr. Smethurst held physician leadership roles at AstraZeneca, Amgen and Adaptimmune. Dr. Smethurst is a member of both the Royal College of Physicians and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine. He earned an MBChB with Distinction from Addenbrooke’s Clinical School Cambridge, as well as an MA from Christ’s College Cambridge.

Sean Moran, CPA, joined Corbus as a co-founder and Chief Financial Officer in January 2014. He has more than twenty years of senior financial experience with emerging biotechnology, drug delivery, and medical device companies. Mr. Moran has successfully managed operations from start up through development to commercialization and profitability. He has completed three IPOs and has raised more than $800 million of capital. Before joining Corbus, Mr. Moran served as Chief Financial Officer for InVivo Therapeutics, Celsion Corporation, Echo Therapeutics, and Anika Therapeutics. Mr. Moran earned his M.B.A. and a B.S. in Accounting from Babson College in Wellesley, MA.

Christina Bertsch joined Corbus in April 2020. She has over 25 years of experience in human resources as both a management consultant and as an HR executive, primarily in the life sciences industry.  Ms. Bertsch has significant experience in HR strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, change management, executive coaching & development and building scalable HR infrastructures for growing companies.  Her expertise areas span the full employee lifecycle including talent acquisition, workforce development, performance management, succession planning, total rewards as well as employee engagement and retention.

Ms. Bertsch has been a consultant to a number of organizations within the life sciences space including Stoke Therapeutics, Glycomine, Jounce Therapeutics, Luminopia, Magenta Therapeutics, Ironwood, Bruker, Merus, and Sarepta Therapeutics. Previous to starting her consulting business she was Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Santander Holdings US, Vice President of Human Resources at Beacon Partners and US Business Partner & Director of Talent Management & Development at EMD Serono. 

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Manhattanville College, and a Master’s Degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University.
